About The Role
Are you passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals? We're looking for an experienced and motivated
Lending Specialist
to join our friendly and supportive team at the Caneland branch, where collaboration, trust and a great team culture are at the heart of what we do.
In this role, you'll provide exceptional, personalised lending to both new and existing Members. You'll handle a variety of lending needs, from personal and credit card loans to more complex mortgage applications, while building strong relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact. You'll be supported by a close‐knit team that values shared success, work‐life balance and professional growth.
You'll also support the Area Manager with business development initiatives, help manage loan processing and distribution and play a key role in coaching and mentoring staff. A vital part of the role involves leading our retention program to ensure our Caneland Members feel supported and valued throughout their lending journey. This is a full time position based on a 38-hour working week, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant may be required to work at branches within the region, as required.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:
Mortgage lending experience including regular exposure to complex credit applications
Experience within the Financial Services industry
Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking
Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Experience building and maintaining a solid portfolio of clients including managing relationships through the end-to-end lending process
A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service including cross selling products and services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Sounds understanding of Queensland Country products and services (desired)
