Council is recruiting to fill multiple Plant Operator / Labourer vacancies in our regional locations.

Town and Surrounds - Yuleba
n
n
Maintain Council's parks, gardens, open spaces, streetscapes, pathways, cemeteries and town entrances across Yuleba, Wallumbilla and Jackson.
n
Undertake mowing, weed control,
spraying, irrigation, landscaping, tree maintenance and litter control.
n
Inspect and undertake minor maintenance of waste facilities, playgrounds, skate parks, showgrounds and other community assets.
n
Assist with local water operations, including water meter reading and providing support to plumbing staff.
n
Assist with cemetery operations, including burials, interment of ashes and installation of plaques.
n
Undertake general labouring and multi-skilled maintenance activities across roads, footpaths, culverts, gutters, drains and other Council assets.
n
Safely operate and maintain a range of Council plant, machinery, tools and equipment.
n
Complete routine servicing, fault reporting and plant records in accordance with Council requirements.
n
Undertake worksite preparation, clean-up and traffic control activities.
n
Work collaboratively across Council teams to support service delivery and meet agreed service level standards.
n

Town and Surrounds - Surat
n
n
Maintain town entrances, streets, parks, gardens and open spaces through mowing, slashing, spraying, weed control, irrigation, landscaping and pruning.
n
Undertake litter collection across streets, parks,
open spaces and town approaches.
n
Maintain and clean culverts, gutters, drains and streets.
n
Undertake minor pavement and footpath repairs and maintenance.
n
Safely operate and maintain a range of Council plant, machinery, tools and equipment.
n
Complete routine servicing, fault reporting, plant records and required inductions in accordance with Council requirements.
n
Undertake general labouring duties, including worksite preparation, clean-up and traffic control activities.
n
Provide support to the Local Development team in delivering community-based projects and partnership programs.
n
Work collaboratively across Council teams to support Waste, Facilities, Community Safety, Cemeteries and Airport services.
n
Assist in meeting Council's Service Level Agreements and maintaining effective service delivery across departments.
n
