As the
Associate Director, Supplier Governance
within our ICT Procurement & Asset Management team, you will lead the strategic direction of supplier governance across NSW Health's ICT supplier portfolio. Working at a statewide level, you'll drive governance frameworks, supplier performance, commercial value realisation, and supplier relationship maturity to support the digital systems and technologies underpinning healthcare delivery across New South Wales.
In this role, you will:
Lead
the development and implementation of NSW Health's supplier governance strategy, frameworks, policies, and maturity uplift roadmap.
Drive
strategic supplier relationship management initiatives, including supplier segmentation, performance management, risk mitigation, and value realisation across a complex ICT supplier portfolio.
Lead negotiations and escalations
with strategic suppliers, resolving complex commercial, contractual, and performance issues while fostering collaborative partnerships.
Provide expert commercial advice
on supplier selection, contract management, governance practices, and dispute resolution to support organisational objectives.
Champion continuous improvement
by strengthening supplier governance capability across NSW Health, coaching stakeholders and promoting best-practice supplier management approaches.
Lead and develop a high-performing team
, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy building strategic partnerships, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving commercial outcomes in complex environments.
We are looking for someone who:
Has extensive experience in supplier governance, procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, or supplier relationship management within a large and complex organisation.
Demonstrates strong commercial acumen with experience leading major negotiations, managing strategic suppliers, and resolving complex contract or performance issues.
Can influence and engage senior executives, business leaders, suppliers, and diverse stakeholder groups to achieve shared outcomes.
Has a track record of leading teams and building organisational capability through coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Brings strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks, public sector procurement practices, contract management, and commercial governance principles.
Holds tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Procurement, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
