We champion individualised care that keeps our customers connected to the people, passions and places they've always loved.The Role:We are currently seeking a qualified Chef to join our roving team across Juniper Metro and Regional residential facilities on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Relief Team Coordinator, the successful candidate will need to be flexible moving between locations at short notice.
The ability and willingness to work in regional locations is essential.
The Chef is responsible for providing appropriate, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our customers in accordance with Juniper's cyclic menus, DINE standards and Food Safety Program.The successful candidate must be able to work 37.5 hours per week (full-time) with no set roster.
Shifts will vary from week to week.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook meals in accordance with Juniper's cyclic and seasonal menusEnsure adherence to safe food handling, HACCP and infection control standardsMaintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environmentMonitor portion control,



minimise food wastage and manage stock effectivelyOrder and control stock within food cost guidelinesSupervise and direct kitchen staff in line with DINE standardsParticipate in customer meetings and incorporate feedback into menu planningEnsure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislationKey Requirements:Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)Food Safety Supervisor CertificateFull Driving LicenceExperience in a commercial cooking and/or aged care catering environmentExperience managing bulk ordering and stock controlStrong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection control standardsUnderstanding of dietary requirements for older people (including IDDSI standards)Ability to manage food budgets and cost controlsStrong organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated leadership and team direction capabilityWhy Join Juniper?
