About the opportunity
The position provides care to adults in centre or home-based appointments. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of adults presenting with communication difficulties, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing impairments. You will be responsible for speech pathology service provision, including assessment and rehabilitation, providing you with an opportunity to develop robust clinical skills to support the management of people with complex physical and psychosocial care needs. Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital Maternity leave cover , 4 days a week until 4/3/2027 Working weekdays - office hours Weekends and public holidays off

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Recognised degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology and eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Demonstrated clinical competency in the management of patients with communication and/ swallowing impairments, such as aphasia, cognitive-communication impairment, dysphonia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech and dysphagia.
Able to work autonomously and flexibly within an interdisciplinary team
Have clinical skills and experience in sub-acute/ community setting
Videofluoroscopy competency
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
