What You'll Be Doing (Day to Day)
You'll operate at the front end of the business, where strategy meets opportunity.
You'll:
Build and maintain relationships with key clients across QueenslandState and local government agenciesResource and energy sector clientsTier 1/2 contractors and delivery partnersConsultants and design firmsIdentify and qualify upcoming opportunities early,
before formal procurementDevelop and execute client engagement plans for priority sectorsLead internal go / no-go discussions with senior leadershipWork closely with estimating and bid teams to shape winning strategiesProvide market intelligence and insight to inform business decisionsMaintain and manage a live pipeline of opportunitiesRepresent them at industry events, briefings, and forumsYou're not just building a pipeline, you're building the pathway to win the right work.

You likely:
Have experience in business development, client engagement, or project delivery within civil/infrastructureBring an existing network across Queensland (government, resources, contractors, or consultants)Understand how projects are delivered,
and where risks and opportunities sitAre confident engaging at senior levels with clients and partnersThink strategically about pipeline and positioning, not just individual tendersAre proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working with autonomy
You might come from:
A civil contractor (BD, PM, or estimator transitioning into BD)A resources or infrastructure delivery backgroundA consultancy or client-side role with solid stakeholder exposure
