Azure AI Engineer
Are you an AI Engineer who loves building rather than talking about building?
We're partnering with a major organisation in the Energy sector embarking on a significant AI transformation program that will see AI embedded across business operations, customer services, and internal processes.
This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated AI delivery team focused on rapidly designing, building, testing, and deploying real-world AI use cases.
You'll work alongside like-minded engineers in a fast-paced setting where the focus is on experimentation, delivery, and measurable outcomes—not endless PowerPoint presentations.

The Opportunity
As an Azure AI Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in developing and deploying AI solutions that drive innovation across a large-scale energy business.
You'll be involved in:
Designing and building AI agents and workflows using Azure AI FoundryDeveloping reusable, modular AI solutions that can be leveraged across multiple use casesCreating orchestration frameworks and agent-to-agent interactionsBuilding workflow automation using Azure Logic Apps, Durable Workflows, and Power AutomateImplementing governance, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and testing processesSupporting red teaming and AI safety initiativesWorking closely with business stakeholders to rapidly turn ideas into working AI solutionsContributing to a growing AI capability that will deliver dozens of AI use cases over the life of the program
What We're Looking For
We're not looking for highly senior AI Architects.
Instead, we're seeking hands-on engineers who enjoy building, experimenting, and delivering outcomes.
You will ideally bring:
Around 4-5 years of software engineering experienceApproximately 2 years of hands-on AI development experienceExperience working with Azure AI services and modern AI development practicesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsA passion for learning and applying emerging AI technologiesExperience working in agile or sprint-based delivery environments
Technical Experience
Experience with some or most of the following:
Azure AI FoundryAI AgentsAgent orchestrationGovernance and guardrailsAutogen Framework (Microsoft) or similar agentic AI frameworksDatabricks (highly desirable)Azure Logic AppsDurable WorkflowsPower AutomateAI evaluation frameworks including TEVV (Test, Evaluate, Verify, Validate)AI red teaming and model validation practicesGitHub CopilotReusable and modular AI architecture patterns
