Job Description
The Team Leader is a hands-on lead from the front to ensure efficiency and quality in the assembly of concrete sleepers, supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day management of the production area, overseeing a group of team members and ensuring an efficient production in achieving business targets.

Key responsibilities
n
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear
n
Perform inspections of end products to assess quality according to company standards
n
Record daily sleepers information and data to track performance in accordance with production goals
n
Supervise and train production team members
n
Meet daily KPIs
n
Maintain and keep clean storage and production work areas, lunchrooms and smoko areas
n
Work on production floor and lead from the front
n
Ensure pre-start inspections are done daily on machinery and forklifts
n
Daily reporting to Production Managers
n
Maintain and upkeep moulds and all tools and equipment
n
About you
n




Must have a forklift license and be very competent on a forklift
n
Experience in production management
n
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
n
Professional attitude and reliable
n
Self-driven with ability to consistently meet all deadlines
n
Able to work under pressure and attend to ad hoc functions as required
n
Ability to drive efficiencies and informed decision making through extensive analysis
n
Adopts a professional approach to own accountability
n
Ability to adapt to changing workplace
n
Must be willing to work overtime hours
