About The Prospect
The Associate Lecturer in Education (Practitioner) is a highly skilled educator who contributes to the design, development and delivery of high-quality, practice-focused curriculum within the Change2Teaching pilot program, the Master of Teaching program, and the School of Education more broadly. This role supports a place-based university vision by delivering contemporary, industry-relevant learning experiences that enhance student outcomes and contribute to the intellectual, social and cultural future of Tasmania.
What You'll Do
Contribute to the design and development of units, including preparation of unit outlines and teaching materials.
Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, consultations and other learning activities.
Contribute to the development of student assessment tasks and supporting materials.




Assess student work and provide appropriate feedback in line with University standards.
Support student academic welfare, including identifying needs and referring students to appropriate services.
What We're Looking For
A minimum Master level degree in Education with school experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and professional experience in education.
Demonstrated experience in delivering and supporting high quality teaching and learning.
Experience designing or contributing to curriculum and assessment aligned with learning outcomes.
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and delivery modes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level A and will have a total remuneration package of up to $125,877 comprising base salary within the range of $83,198 to $107,587 plus 17% superannuation.
