The LAS ST4 doctor will work in the community team for adults with intellectual disability and mental illness and/or significant challenging behaviour within the London borough of Lambeth. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team made up of psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, clinical psychologists and a behaviour support worker.
The LAS ST4 doctor will assess and review patients with intellectual disability and mental health problems in the Maudsley Outpatient Clinic (Monday afternoons) based at Maudsley Hospital.A caseload will be assigned to them by the consultant psychiatrist under close supervision.
The LAS ST4 doctor may also be required to visit patients at other locations within the Borough i.e. at home, day centre and so on. In addition, they will participate and contribute to the weekly Lambeth MHLD Team meeting, liaise with patients' GPs, social services, third sector organisations and other external agencies.
The LAS ST4 doctor will be expected to attend Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings and other multidisciplinary meetings.




You will receive weekly clinical supervision provided from Dr Partsenidis (Consultant Psychiatrist).
The appointed doctor will be expected to complete mandatory training.
