FinXL is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer (Cross-Domain / XMPP) to join our Defence consulting practice. In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with a national security sector organisation on a high-profile transformation project.

/n

An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is highly preferred.

/n

This position can be based from either of the following cities: Canberra ideally - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane also considered (Hybrid).

Responsibility/n

/n

- Implement secure network boundaries and cross-domain messaging solutions.

/n





- Support a major secure cloud capability rollout within the National Security Sector.

/n

- Manage and configure XML cross-domain guards for controlling and filtering traffic.

/n

- Travel to specific base or city locations for a few weeks during project initiation.

/n

- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure stringent security compliance across the programme.

/n

Key Skills & Experience/n

/n

- Hands-on engineering experience with secure network boundaries.

/n

- Proven expertise working with Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP).

/n

- Familiarity with XML cross-domain guards, such as Isode M-Guard or similar technologies.

/n

- Solid understanding of traffic filtering mechanisms.

/n

- Australian Citizenship is a strict requirement for this engagement.

/n

- An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is highly preferred, though highly skilled uncleared citizens willing to undergo sponsorship will be considered.

/n
