Registered Nurse, Day Medical Unit | Grade 2 | Part time, Fixed Term position (until 5th September 2027) at 0.63FTE, 48 hours per fortnight within the Ambulatory Services/Day Medical Unit. |
About the Role:
This is a part time, Fixed Term position (until 5th September 2027) at 0.63FTE, 48 hours per fortnight within the Ambulatory Services/Day Medical Unit.
You will be responsible for providing care to patients and families within the Day Medical Unit, as part of a nurse lead team. The treatment provided to children and adolescents during the day admission, is for a variety of conditions requiring treatments and procedural support.
What you'll achieve:
- Conduct a comprehensive and systamatic nursing assessment to imporve the quailty of nursing
- Provision and implementation of quality clinical care
- Manage workload based on the assessment, acuity and optimal time for intervention
- Use a range of assessment techniques to collect relevant and accurate data.
Classification for this position will range from YP5 (RN Grade 2, Year 4) to YP9 (RN Grade 2, Year 8), FTE base salary $92,242.8 to $107,510.00 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation.
Your skills and experience:
- Recent acute paediatric nursing experience
- Demonstrated commintment to ongoing personal and professional developement
- Competent in Central Venous Access Devices management.

- Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
