ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the MC Operator is to safely and efficiently operate MC vehicles, end tippers and other heavy equipment to support Qube Energy's waste and logistics operations, including the collection, transport and delivery of controlled waste, quarantine waste and oilfield materials.
LOCATION: Karratha (This is a residential role. FIFO applicants will not be considered)
HOURLY RATE: $51.37 p/h + penalties for overtime + Remote Area Reimbursement
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Professional conduct both at Qube, vendors and customer managed facilities
- Safely and efficiently operate MC vehicles, end tippers and other authorised heavy equipment.
- Complete pre-start and post-operation vehicle and equipment checks, and report defects promptly.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including cartage dockets, service requests, waste tracking records and other operational paperwork.
- Collect, transport and deliver controlled waste, quarantine waste, dangerous goods and oilfield materials in accordance with applicable legislation, approvals, procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain quarantine controls and closed-loop requirements where applicable.
- Comply with Main Roads WA requirements, heavy vehicle permits, route restrictions and vehicle operating conditions.
- Comply with applicable fatigue management requirements and approved operating procedures.
- Always Meet Chain of Responsibility obligations.
- Manage loads safely, including load restraint, axle weights, mass limits, dangerous goods requirements and vehicle-specific permit conditions.
- Operate in accordance with client site requirements, access conditions, permits and local procedures.
- Protect and maintain vehicles, plant and client equipment under your care.
- Identify and report delivery or service issues and take appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain professional conduct at Qube, vendor and customer-managed facilities.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and reasonable directions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated commercial heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Ability to manage loads, mass limits, axle weights and permit conditions.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly regarded
- Experience in oil and gas logistics, waste transport or regional heavy vehicle operations.
- Controlled Waste and Dangerous Goods transport experience.
- Current Dangerous Goods Driver Licence where required for the work undertaken.
- High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF).
- Vehicle Loading Crane licence or relevant competency.
- Experience operating end tippers and other equipment used by Qube Energy.
