Take ownership of projects that improve access, independence and everyday living
About the role
Reporting to the National Business Manager, you will manage new lift installation projects across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.
You will manage projects from Sales handover through planning, site readiness, installation, commissioning, final handover and commercial close-out, supported by an experienced technical team and direct access to decision-makers.
This is a project leadership role, not a field people-management position. You will set project delivery priorities while working closely with the field team responsible for technician allocation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects at different stages, maintaining clear programmes, priorities and delivery commitments.
- Confirm site readiness, construction interfaces and installation requirements with clients, builders and contractors.
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, technicians and internal teams so everyone understands what is required and when.
- Manage supplier lead times, equipment availability and deliveries to keep projects moving.
- Monitor project costs, variations, delays and commercial outcomes, addressing issues early.
- Keep homeowners, builders and other stakeholders informed, setting explicit expectations throughout delivery.
- Ensure safety, quality, documentation, commissioning and handover requirements are met.
- Improve project systems, processes and delivery standards as the business grows.
About you
Lift experience preferred, but not essential.
We welcome experienced Project Managers from lifts and vertical transport, HVAC and mechanical services, electrical, fire, BMS, controls, specialist building services and other technical installation environments.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing multiple projects through planning, installation, commissioning and handover.
- Strong capability in scheduling, risk management, cost control and managing variations.
- Practical understanding of site readiness, specialist equipment installations and relevant safety, quality and compliance requirements.
- Clear communication and the ability to build productive relationships with customers, builders, suppliers and delivery teams.
- A structured, proactive approach, with the judgement to identify problems early and drive practical solutions.
- Willingness to take responsibility, follow through on commitments and improve how work gets done.
- A valid driver licence, Australian work rights and a current White Card or the ability to obtain one.
A trade background or qualifications in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Benefits
- A competitive package: $100,000 to $120,000 base salary, based on experience and capability, plus superannuation and a fully maintained company vehicle from commencement.
- Performance based bonus opportunities: eligible to earn bonuses after six months, subject to agreed performance measures covering labour efficiency, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, project completion and commercial outcomes.
- Varied, rewarding work: a secure project pipeline spanning residential, commercial and goods lift installations.
- Ownership with support: responsibility for your projects, backed by experienced technical colleagues and accessible decision-makers.
- A voice in how we work: the opportunity to shape project systems, improve delivery and see your ideas put into practice.
- Room to grow: potential to progress into broader project delivery leadership as Tesla Elevators expands.
Location and hours
This permanent full-time position is based at our Braeside office, with regular travel to Victorian project sites and responsibility for supporting interstate projects.
Typical working hours are 7.00 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid lunch break. Occasional reasonable additional hours may be required to meet project commitments.
How to apply
Please submit your CV and a brief overview of your relevant project experience, including the types of projects you have managed and your responsibilities.
Shortlisted candidates will also be asked to discuss a time they identified a project risk early and prevented it from affecting the outcome.
Tesla Elevators welcomes applications from suitably qualified people and can provide reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
