BF Cabinets is looking for a Cabinet Vision Drafter, Cabinetmaker, CNC Machinist, and Cabinetmaking Apprentices to join our Baldivis workshop. We work across residential and commercial projects and are looking for reliable people who take pride in their work.
Cabinet Vision Drafter
You’ll be responsible for producing accurate drawings and documentation ready for manufacture, working closely with our estimating and production teams to ensure jobs move smoothly from design through to the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate cabinetry drawings and plans using Cabinet Vision
- Prepare detailed drawings and documentation for manufacture
- Interpret architectural plans, specifications and client requirements
- Ensure drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for production
- Liaise with the estimating and production teams to resolve any design or technical issues
- Manage drafting work to meet project and production deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience drafting within the cabinetmaking or joinery industry
- Proven experience using Cabinet Vision is essential
- Previous cabinetmaking experience is highly regarded, with a practical understanding of cabinetry materials, construction methods and how components come together in manufacture
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to manage your workload and work to deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Cabinetmaker
We’re looking for experienced and reliable Cabinetmakers to join our production team, working across a range of residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble custom cabinetry to a high standard
- Read and interpret plans and job sheets accurately
- Work independently or as part of the factory team depending on workload
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within production deadlines
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive workspace
Requirements:
- Trade-qualified Cabinetmaker with proven industry experience
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and manufacturing
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Able to work confidently without constant supervision
- Reliable and able to work well with others
- Installation experience is highly regarded
CNC Machinist
We’re looking for an experienced Cabinetmaker with CNC machining experience to join our production team to operate our CNC and edgebander.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Weeke Vantech 612 CNC to produce cabinetry components
- Operate the edgebander to produce finished panels
- Read and follow cutting lists, job sheets and production documentation
- Check components for accuracy and quality
- Work with the drafting and factory teams to keep production moving
- Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the machining process
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
- Experienced Cabinetmaker with a strong understanding of cabinetry construction and manufacturing
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a cabinetry or joinery environment
- Experience operating edgebanding machinery is highly regarded
- Ability to read and follow cutting lists and production documentation accurately
- Good understanding of cabinetry components, materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of the factory team
Cabinetmaking Apprentices
We’re looking for Cabinetmaking Apprentices at any stage of their apprenticeship who want to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a busy cabinetmaking workshop.
You’ll work alongside experienced Cabinetmakers while building the practical skills and knowledge required to complete your trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the manufacture and assembly of cabinetry
- Work from plans and job sheets under the guidance of qualified Cabinetmakers
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Assist with preparation, assembly and finishing of cabinetry components
- Keep work areas clean, organised and secure
- Follow instructions and progressively take on more responsibility as your skills develop
Requirements:
- Currently completing a Cabinetmaking apprenticeship, or looking to commence one
- Willing to learn and develop your cabinetmaking skills
- Able to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Genuine interest in completing a Cabinetmaking trade
Previous workshop experience is an advantage but is not essential for someone starting their apprenticeship.
You will need your own vehicle for all of the above positions.
Pay is weekly, with rates based on experience and discussed at interview stage.
