This is a hands-on role spanning the full event lifecycle, including ticketing, marketing, production, event-day logistics, budgeting, commercial negotiation and settlement. The Producer will be responsible for ensuring each assigned event is delivered safely, efficiently, on budget and to a high standard, while also contributing ideas that grow audience engagement and strengthen the Festivals’ special events offering.
The role is full time and based in Century’s Sydney office, with interstate travel to Perth and other locations as required.
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ticketing: Set up and manage ticketing requirements, including pricing, builds, allocations, holds, guest lists, sales monitoring and inventory management, working with venues and internal ticketing teams.
• Marketing:
Work closely with the Festivals’ marketing team to develop and implement event-specific campaigns, provide event information and assets, coordinate marketing activity and monitor ticket sales and campaign performance.
• Production & Logistics: Coordinate all operational and production requirements, including venues and sites, technical production, staging, AV, lighting, security, catering, transport, accessibility, permits, insurance and other event infrastructure.
• Event-Day Management: Take a lead role on the ground, coordinating venues, suppliers, contractors, artists, staff and internal teams to ensure events are delivered safely, professionally and to schedule.
• Budgeting: Create, forecast and manage event budgets, closely monitor income and expenditure, identify cost efficiencies and ensure events are delivered within approved financial parameters.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate commercial terms and manage agreements with venues, suppliers, contractors, partners and talent where required, within established approval frameworks.
• Settlement & Reconciliation: Manage post-event financial reconciliation and settlements, ensuring ticketing, venue, supplier and artist-related financial information is accurate and completed within agreed timelines.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, venues, artists, agents, suppliers, contractors, partners and other external stakeholders.
• Risk & Compliance: Work with venue and operational specialists to manage event risk, WHS, compliance, emergency planning and audience experience requirements.
• Creative Development: Contribute ideas to evolve existing special events and develop new opportunities that increase audience reach, commercial performance and the overall Festival experience.
• Cross-Festival Delivery: Manage projects across both the Sydney Comedy Festival and Perth Comedy Festival, adapting plans to the operational requirements, venues and audiences of each market.
