Brumby’s Bakery is coming back to Secret Harbour and we are building a strong local team to bring fresh bread, bakery favorites and genuine customer service back to the community. We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Store Manager to lead the store through reopening and beyond, setting the standard for operational excellence, team culture and customer experience.

This is a full-time permanent position of 38 hours per week, with early starts, weekend work and public holidays where required

The Role

As the Store Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Brumby’s Bakery in Secret Harbour. You will take ownership of store performance, team leadership, product presentation and customer experience, while ensuring the store reopens smoothly as a company operated location and continues to meet Brumby’s brand standards every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Lead the successful reopening and ongoing daily operations of the store
- Deliver warm, friendly customer experiences that encourage repeat business and community connection
- Drive store sales, profitability, KPIs and operational standards
- Oversee product availability, presentation, freshness and merchandising across bread, savoury and sweet bakery ranges
- Create clear expectations and build a positive, accountable and safety-first culture
- Manage rosters, labour costs, inventory,



ordering and waste to protect profitability
- Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety, cleanliness and Brumby’s brand standards
- Oversee daily reporting, banking and end-of-day procedures
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently

What We’re Looking For

You’re a hands-on retail or hospitality leader with strong operational discipline, a customer-first mindset and the confidence to lead a store through reopening and into sustained performance. You enjoy building capable teams, maintaining high standards and creating a welcoming bakery experience for the local community.

You’ll also bring:

- Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or experienced 2IC in bakery, café, QSR or high-volume retail environment
- Solid people leadership skills, including coaching, training, rostering and performance management
- Confidence managing sales, labour, stock, waste, ordering and other key store performance measures
- Sound understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety and cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers, team members and support office stakeholders
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends and some public holidays
- Commitment to completing Brumby’s brand training and applying learnings to deliver consistent operational standards
