About the role

The Facilities & Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall presentation, safety, functionality, and maintenance of our Southern Highlands precinct including infrastructure, landscaped grounds, hospitality venues, event spaces, and visitor amenities. This is a hands-on role combining groundskeeping with facilities oversight, contractor coordination, maintenance planning, and operational support for a high-quality visitor experience.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee maintenance of all buildings, sheds, barns, workshops, amenities, and hospitality structures - minor works as required

- Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks; coordinate external contractors for specialised work

- Cleaning of external drains on paving

- Hazard/safety daily checks - Risk Assessment

- Maintain lawns, gardens, orchards, landscaped paths, and visitor-facing outdoor areas

- Garden maintenance, hedging, fertilising

- Conduct mulching, pruning,



irrigation checks

- Maintain all aspects of grounds including gates, fencing, and access pathways

- Blow down all pathways, driveways and hospitality venues

- Maintain driveways, car parks and public facing areas

About you

- Skilled with tools, machinery, mowers and general repairs

- Solid organisational and scheduling capabilities

- Horticulture, irrigation, infrastructure experience are highly advantageous

- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions

- Proactive, practical and highly reliable

- Takes ownership of property presentation and maintenance

- Strong communication skills across diverse teams

- Guest-focused mindset with pride in appearance standards

- Adaptable and solution oriented

- Can work alone and in a team
