About the opportunity

Join a specialist team at NSW Ambulance and make a real impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of a large frontline workforce. In this rewarding role, you will help shape infection prevention and control practices across the organisation through education, staff vaccination programs, policy development and quality improvement initiatives. Working with clinical experts and key stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to influence practice, drive meaningful change and contribute to safer outcomes for both staff and patients across New South Wales.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a passion for infection prevention and control and a commitment to improving the safety and wellbeing of our people. You are a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience in Infection Control who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is motivated by the opportunity to influence practice, drive continuous improvement and make a meaningful impact across NSW Ambulance.

You are an engaging communicator who can build solid working relationships with clinicians, managers and stakeholders at all levels. Confident in delivering education, providing expert advice and translating complex information into practical outcomes, you are able to influence change and foster a strong culture of infection prevention and safety.

With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you bring experience in quality improvement, policy development, research and program evaluation. You are resilient, adaptable and proactive, with the ability to navigate evolving clinical challenges while maintaining a focus on evidence-based practice, compliance and delivering high-quality outcomes.
