We are searching for an experienced Family Assistant who is able to offer support where needed for a lovely family of four in Toorak.

This role is dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of this busy household in supporting a friendly family of four. Key responsibilities include maintaining the home to a high standard, providing assistance to teenage children, meal planning and preparation, providing flexible live-in support when required, both with and without the presence of children and pets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Attend to the children’s needs, including transportation to and from school and extracurricular engagements as required
- Provide flexible childcare support during evenings, weekends, and extended periods when parents are absent
- Ensure academic obligations are met, including attendance at tutoring sessions and homework deadlines
- Organise and maintain all areas of the residence, including domestic / household tasks (professional cleaner attends once per week)
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness both indoors and outdoors
- Coordinate seasonal deep cleaning efforts and manage contractor schedules
- Facilitate vendor communication and proactively oversee home maintenance
- Collaborate with parents to oversee household correspondence and manage bill payments
- Proactively plan and prepare nutritious meals, managing pantry and refrigerator supplies
- Attend to personal errands and shopping needs




- Coordinate family schedules in collaboration with parents and Executive Assistant
- Provide care for pets
- Assume responsibility for house and pet sitting when required
- Fulfill additional duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

- Effective management of all household duties
- Positive relationships maintained with all stakeholders, including family members & pets
- Ability to maintain trust and discretion of family across all aspects of your role, at all times
- Previous experience with children
- Relevant checks and licences including valid driver’s licence with a clean record as well as first aid certification and satisfactory completion of require background/working with children checks
- Experience with food preparation
- Warm, nurturing demeanour with positive attitude and ability to work independently and proactively
- Highly organised, playing close attention to detail while being versatile and adaptable
- Effective communication skills and willingness to take direction
- Physically capable of managing household tasks
- Discreet and respectful of privacy
- Ability to travel and work in secondary location on a semi regular basis
