Are you our next Support Team Lead?

Are you an experienced disability support worker eager to take the reins and inspire change? We're seeking a dynamic leader to dedicate 10 permanent hours weekly, with the opportunity for up to 20 additional casual support hours. This role combines direct, impactful engagement with flexible, remote administrative duties—where you'll ignite passion, foster collaboration, and set the standard for exceptional care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Provide face-to-face support work - This will focus on building rapport with the client and providing in-home and in-the-community support, including personal care, transport when required, meal preparation, household duties, and building positive, consistent routines.

- Supporting with recruiting support workers as required and supporting with rostering

- Implementing support plans, and ensuring the team are across any changes

- Attending meetings with the client, parents, and the Hireup manager

- Incident reporting and follow-up as required

- Admin duties relating to the clients' support

Required Experience and Qualifications:

- Certificate 3 or higher in Individual Support, Community Services, Nursing, or similar

- Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting clients living with disabilities or similar lived experience

- Comfortable with personal care tasks

- Experience with behaviours of concern

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.



The role involves supporting a client with vision and hearing impairments, requiring clear, accurate articulation and highly accurate written correspondence.

Desirable Experience supporting clients living with:

- Intellectual disabilities

- Autism Spectrum Disorder - non-verbal, using a device to communicate

- Vision impairment

Current Shift Availability:

- Monday and Tuesday required for Support Team Lead permanent hours (10 hours)

- Availability to complete up to 20 casual hours each week within a support worker role

Mandatory Requirements:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Full First Aid

- Right to work in Australia

- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check

- Full Australian driver's licence
