Position Overview

As an Inventory Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of inventory compliance, including preparation, planning, and execution of stock takes across our Duty-Free Stores and Warehouse. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving inventory and logistics issues, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and supporting our Store Operations teams in enhancing inventory accuracy. You will be located in our International Terminal 1, but the role will see you working in other sites at the Airport and at our nearby 3rd Party Logistics Warehouse.

Key Accountabilities:

Inventory Management:

- Lead and manage the full end-to-end stocktake process, including preparation, execution, reporting, and loss analysis.

- Review and adjust inventory based on negative sales; conduct daily inventory counts and actions.

- Oversee ATO/ABF reporting, submission of Duty/Excise Payments, and monthly inventory stock adjustments.





- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts, providing training to team members and developing action plans to address discrepancies.

- Manage stock transfers, addressing issues with the Inventory Product team and developing corrective action plans.

- Prepare weekly reviews and reports on outstanding inventory action items.

Operational Risk Management:

- Control physical site security, including key access, door access, and CCTV reviews.

- Perform compliance audits, including cash control, licensing checks, merchandise protection, and operational risk assessments.

- Manage security alarms, including programming user access, reviewing alarm reports, and updating call-out lists.

- Conduct cash office audits and manage cash allowances.

- Assist with visitor pass approvals and provide support for Risk/Compliance functions and ad hoc projects.

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

- Ensure customs and excise duty payments comply with legislative requirements.

- Maintain relationships with local customs authorities and manage customs certifications to secure necessary authorizations for duty-free operations.

- Support compliance with licensing matters and ensure the business retains necessary licenses and registrations for legal trading.

- Provide advice and support to the local team on licensing regulations and risk identification.

Experience and Specific Requirements:

- Minimum of two years post qualification experience within a retail head office, leadership role.

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Advanced computer skills

- Candidates with Stocktake/ Warehouse/ logistics experience and Inventory analytics would be highly suited.

- Solid experience with SAP Retail & WMS
