About the Program

The Remote Restorative Day Program (East Arnhem) will be primarily delivered to males residing in Millingimbi, Galiwinku and on Groote Eylandt who are serving a community-based sentence of 3 months or longer for DFSV offences with alcohol involvement, or are engaging in high-risk alcohol or other drug use and are at increased risk of involvement with the justice system. The Restorative Day Program will offer a more adaptable option for treatment than fully residential programs and could provide a sentencing alternative to courts which could assist with reducing high incarceration numbers while addressing root causes of crime.
