Senior Electrical Engineer | 12-Month Contract
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a highly regarded WA engineering consultancy supporting a diverse portfolio of mining and mineral processing projects across Australia and internationally.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will provide technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and project implementation. This role offers exposure to a broad range of commodities including gold, lithium, base metals, and associated resources infrastructure projects.

This is an ideal chance for a technically strong engineer seeking project variety, end-to-end project involvement, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative consultancy environment.

Role Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of mining and mineral processing projects from initial studies through to execution. You will play a key role in providing engineering leadership, technical design expertise, and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering design within mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments, coupled with experience working across the full project lifecycle. Previous exposure to gold processing projects will be highly regarded.

This opportunity is offered on an initial 12-month contract basis with strong potential for extension.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years' experience within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry environments
• Strong experience delivering electrical engineering design across the project lifecycle
• Experience supporting concept studies, detailed design and project execution phases
• Solid understanding of Australian and relevant international engineering standards and codes
• Experience with LV and HV power systems within industrial environments
• Ability to produce and review engineering calculations, reports and technical documentation
• Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Perth-based and available for ad hoc site travel
• Full Australian working rights

Desirable Experience
• Gold processing project experience
• Brownfields plant upgrade experience
• Exposure to commissioning and site support activities
• Experience within engineering consultancy or EPCM environments
• Familiarity with mineral processing facilities and associated infrastructure
• Exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery environments
• Previous involvement in feasibility and study work
• Chartership or progress towards chartership advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver electrical engineering design solutions across studies, detailed design and execution projects
• Provide technical leadership and engineering support across the project lifecycle




• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications and technical documentation
• Support design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, clients and project stakeholders
• Assist with equipment selection and technical evaluations
• Support construction, commissioning and implementation activities as required
• Undertake site visits to support project delivery, troubleshooting and commissioning works
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling and risk management activities
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed safely, efficiently and to a high quality standard
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team
• Support continuous improvement and successful project outcomes
