About the role

Cleaver Firearms is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at our Margate, Queensland location. This is a casual position that offers 37.75 hours per week, 3 Month Trial Period, working Tuesday to Saturday, Sundays and Mondays off as we are closed on these two days. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our business, delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales through engaging product knowledge and professional advice. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming shopping experience and building long-term customer relationships that support the growth and reputation of Cleaver Firearms.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and providing exceptional service throughout their shopping experience

- Assisting customers in selecting products that meet their specific needs and requirements

- Demonstrating detailed product knowledge and providing knowledgeable recommendations

- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

- Maintaining visual merchandising standards and ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized and well-stocked

- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and courtesy

- Supporting inventory management and stock replenishment activities

- Building positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty

- Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable but not necessary

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers





- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service

- Numeracy and literacy skills to process transactions accurately

- Ability to work as part of a team whilst maintaining focus on individual responsibilities

- Reliability and punctuality.

- A skilled appearance and positive attitude

- Willingness to learn about products and develop industry knowledge

- The ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

- Must Have a Queensland Firearms License or Weapons Act License.
