This is a General Practice position at an accredited practice with 11 consulting rooms and 2 treatment rooms. You will be taking over the entire patient base from 2 full-time GPs who left to pursue training. The practice is well-established over 12 years with 9 GPs, 2 GP Registrars, 2 full-time nurses, and 4 admin staff. You will work alongside experienced GPs who are happy to support new doctors. The practice is a teaching practice affiliated to UQ and Griffith with a steady flow of medical students.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general practice care with full appointment day from day 1
- Choose your appointment duration from 10, 15, or 20 minutes
- Manage chronic disease with support from the chronic disease management team
- Participate in bulk billing services
- Opportunity to learn skin cancer from experienced practitioners with UK qualifications and post-graduate diplomas in dermatology
- Support women's health services, a practice focus area
About you
- Both restricted and unrestricted doctors welcome to apply
- Doctors with passion to teach medical students will be rewarded $250 teaching bonus per day for minimum 6-hour sessions
Benefits
- $220+ GST per hour guarantee for first 4 months (if seeing 10-minute appointments) and $200 per hour if seeing 4 patients per hour
- $25,000 incentive payment after completion of 1 year full-time contract
- Gross income of current doctors ranges $380-$460 per hour
- Around $10,000 every 3 months for BBPIP for full-time doctors
