Do you enjoy working with your hands, building things and seeing a project come together from start to finish?

Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Joinery Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Gregory Hills, NSW.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a professional joinery workshop, working alongside experienced tradespeople to manufacture high-quality custom joinery, cabinetry and interior fittings while completing your CPC31920 Certificate III in Joinery.

No previous experience is required. If you're reliable, have a strong eye for detail and are ready to learn a skilled trade, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified tradespeople, you'll learn how to:

- Manufacture and assemble custom joinery, cabinetry and fittings.

- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.

- Accurately measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials.

- Use hand tools,



power tools and workshop machinery safely and correctly.

- Assist with the manufacture of cabinets, cupboards, doors, shelving and other joinery products.

- Prepare materials and components for assembly.

- Complete detailed finishing work to achieve a high-quality result.

- Assist with the installation of completed joinery where required.

- Follow workplace safety procedures and industry standards.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

- Work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople to complete projects.

About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated, reliable and genuinely interested in developing a career in joinery and cabinetry.

To be successful, you'll have:

- A genuine interest in joinery, cabinetry and working with your hands.

- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.

- A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.

- Valuable practical problem-solving skills.

- A reliable and professional attitude.

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- A current P1 driver's licence or above.

- The ability and willingness to travel to Unanderra TAFE to complete the required off-the-job training.

No previous joinery experience or pre-apprenticeship is required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability and commitment to completing their trade.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible for this apprenticeship.
