Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS is a multi-service not-for-profit, with a mission to enhance the quality of people’s lives by providing services which enable them to live with dignity and respect.

MSS has an opportunity for a full-time Manager - Home Care based in our Taree office. The position is 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday (with the option of a 9-day fortnight).

In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting a team of Care Partners within the Home Care team by providing direction, guidance and leadership while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Care Partners work closely with MSS aged care clients, their carers and families, planning and coordinating support services in line with client needs and goals. They ensure our clients can stay living independently in their own homes with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

- Leading and managing a team of Care Partners

- Developing team members’ knowledge and skills through coaching and direction

- Promoting and fostering a cooperative and professional team culture

- Managing or providing guidance on complex client complaints, incidents and risks

- Supporting the team to achieve quality and compliance expectations and to work in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards

- Driving exceptional customer service standards

- Contributing to, and leading continuous quality improvement activities

- Collaborating with other areas of the business to achieve positive outcomes

- Ensuring effective resource allocation and delivery of annual budgets and reporting

- Contributing to and promoting a safe workplace for all

Selection Criteria

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role

- Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social and Community Services, Aged Care, Nursing, Allied Health or Management

- Minimum 5 years of aged care industry experience, or similar





- Demonstrated ability to support, supervise, and train staff to achieve expectations

- Able to lead change and introduce, implement and monitor continuous quality improvement

- Excellent collaboration skills to work professionally and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

- Critical thinking skills with the ability to provide leadership in complex situations

- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, collaborative and professional team culture

- Superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

- Budget management skills

- Current NSW drivers’ licence

- Vehicle with current NSW registration and at least third-party property damage insurance

- Willingness to travel to other MSS sites as necessary

- Willingness to be part of the on-call manager roster out of normal work hours (paid)
