About the role

Kerry's Automotive Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated New Vehicle Sales Consultant to join our Darwin dealership. This is a full time position based in Darwin, NT 0800, where you will play a crucial role in driving our vehicle sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a New Vehicle Sales Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our business, building relationships with customers and guiding them through the vehicle purchasing journey. This role is essential to achieving our sales targets and establishing Kerry's Automotive Group as the preferred automotive retailer in the Darwin region.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting and engaging potential customers on the dealership floor and responding to enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner

- Conducting thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and preferences for their next vehicle

- Showcasing new vehicles and highlighting key features, benefits and specifications that align with customer needs

- Arranging and conducting test drives to allow customers to experience our vehicles firsthand

- Preparing accurate quotations and trade-in valuations and promotional offers

- Negotiating sales terms whilst maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction

- Processing sales documentation and coordinating with the finance and administration teams to ensure smooth transaction completion

- Building and maintaining a customer database to generate repeat business and referrals

- Staying informed about current vehicle models, pricing, features and manufacturer incentives





- Meeting individual and team sales targets whilst contributing to dealership performance goals

- Providing after-sales support and maintaining customer relationships to encourage future purchases

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in new vehicle sales, automotive retail or a similar consultative sales environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and recommend solutions that meet their requirements

- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close sales effectively

- Results-driven approach with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

- Knowledge of vehicles, features and automotive industry trends (desirable but not essential)

- Full driving licence and willingness to conduct regular test drives

- Proficiency with computer systems and dealership management software (training provided)

- Professional appearance and the ability to represent Kerry's Automotive Group to the highest standard

- Ability to work as part of a team whilst maintaining individual accountability
