We are looking for an Alternate Underground Manager to join our Carosue Dam Operations.

Reporting to the Underground Manager, you will support the start-up and development of two new underground mines, providing strong technical and operational leadership as the operations progress through start-up and into production. This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior underground mining professional looking to take the next step into a key leadership role.

What you can look forward to:

- Drive the output of the Technical Services team to meet targets while adhering to safety requirements.
- Develop personnel through coaching, training and regular performance appraisals.
- Oversee the preparation of stope designs and layouts, short-term schedules, mine development instructions and level extraction plans.
- Develop mine designs, planning guidelines and strategies to optimise mining processes.
- Prepare forecasts and develop mining strategies in collaboration with geology, mining operations, planning and production engineering teams.
- Manage the Life of Mine Plan for the operation based on the agreed mining strategy.
- Review Life of Mine costs and develop cut-off grades for Ore Reserve estimations.
- Support the Underground Manager and Mining Manager in their statutory and strategic responsibilities and deliverables.

Where you'll add value:

- Experience in a senior underground mining role, with demonstrated technical and leadership capability across large scale operations.
- Proven experience in contractor management, project delivery and people leadership.
- A decisive leadership style, with the ability to think critically, influence stakeholders and communicate risk effectively.
- The ability to deliver practical, value-driven outcomes in a dynamic operational environment.
- Experience across multiple mining methods, mine start-ups will be highly regarded.

Qualifications:





- Degree in Mining Engineering.
- First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, or the ability to acquire it.
- Current WA "C" Class Drivers Licence
