The Opportunity
At Vocus, our Logistics Specialists play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring network hardware is configured, tested and dispatched accurately and on time.
As a Logistics Specialist, you'll be responsible for staging, provisioning and managing customer network devices while maintaining inventory accuracy across our operational systems.
Acting as the central point of contact for incoming and outgoing hardware, you'll work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure devices are configured correctly, licences are allocated, and customers receive everything they need for a successful installation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to grow their career in a network/telecommunications environment with the ability to apply robust customer service mind set, technical aptitude, attention to detail and an interest in networking technologies to join a collaborative and growing team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Stage, configure and test network hardware prior to customer deployment.
- Provision a range of network devices, including routers, switches and SD-WAN equipment.
- Receive, process and dispatch hardware in line with customer and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update operational systems.
- Manage stock levels and support inventory control activities.
- Administer and track SD-WAN licensing and device registrations.
- Monitor and manage assigned ticket queues to ensure timely completion of requests.
- Perform quality assurance checks before hardware is dispatched.
- Troubleshoot hardware and configuration issues to support successful deployments.
- Reconfigure and update devices as required to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering,
Operations and Customer teams to ensure devices are delivered accurately and on schedule.
What You'll Bring
- Experience configuring and provisioning network devices, including routers, switches and related hardware.
- Hands-on experience using ticket management systems such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and device configuration issues using console access and command-line interfaces.
- Experience working with vendor licensing platforms, including Cisco, Meraki and Fortinet.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, IT hardware and infrastructure technologies.
- Familiarity with configuration tools such as Terra Term and similar terminal applications.
- Basic understanding of SD-WAN technologies and network deployments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
