Join Our Team as a Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in the mental health unit at Joondalup Health Campus on a casual basis, offering work over a varied, seven-day rotating roster.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for our patients, while contributing to the efficient operation of the unit. You will be responsible for providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning and customer service, in line with Ramsay's values. Your duties will include:

- Assisting with patient transports (ECT, EEG, radiology, pathology), as appropriate.
- Assisting with patient activities such as shopping, craft, recreation, unit meetings, and patient activity planning.
- Supporting patient safety and security as directed by clinical staff.
- Working in accordance with all safe working policies and procedures of the facility.
- Performing general cleaning activities, including cleaning bedrooms upon patient discharge, removal of rubbish and linen, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Running errands for the clinical staff.





Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will work closely with a supportive and friendly team, contributing significantly to patient care and unit operations.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated and work effectively under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. You will demonstrate a robust work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice. You will also bring:

- Experience in a hospital cleaning role.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.

Additional Information

- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
