The Client
H2M Constructions Pty Ltd is a construction company based in Winter Valley, Victoria, undertaking building, plastering, rendering and related construction works.
The Role
This is for a full time role with an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation. The role is based in Winter Valley, Victoria.
The Responsibilities
- Prepare internal and external surfaces for rendering work.
- Mix and apply cement render, acrylic render and texture coatings to walls and other surfaces.
- Apply, level, smooth and finish render to achieve the required surface finish.
- Install and finish external polystyrene and cladding systems where required.
- Repair and patch damaged, cracked or uneven rendered surfaces.
- Finish corners, edges and wall surfaces in accordance with project specifications.
- Measure and prepare surfaces to ensure accurate application of plaster and render.
- Inspect completed work and rectify imperfections where required.
- Ensure rendering and plastering work is completed to required quality and project standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use tools and equipment correctly.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors and other team members to meet project deadlines.
The Requirements
- Certificate III in Solid Plastering or a relevant trade qualification.
- At least 12 months of experience working as a Solid Plasterer or in a similar plastering/rendering role.
- At least 12 months of experience preparing internal and external substrates for plastering and rendering.
- At least 12 months of experience mixing and applying cement render, acrylic render and texture coatings.
- At least 12 months of experience levelling, floating, trowelling, smoothing and finishing rendered surfaces.
- At least 12 months of experience installing and finishing external polystyrene and cladding systems.
- At least 12 months of experience repairing cracks, damaged areas and uneven rendered surfaces.
- Technical ability to set out and finish corners, angles, edges, reveals and other detailed surfaces to project specifications.
- Sound knowledge of substrate preparation, render consistency, curing requirements and surface finishing techniques.
- Ability to accurately use plastering and rendering tools and equipment while maintaining required tolerances and finish quality.
- Valuable knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
