We are looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to join a team to assist our professional female client that has acquired her disability.

n

Support workers assist the client based in Christies Beach on a rotating roster of 24/7 support. Exceptional and ongoing hours are available for those that demonstrate person centred practices and can commit to the client's long-term support needs. As a team member you will be required to be familiar with all shifts including passive overnights.

n

You will be responsible for providing dedicated, individualised and versatile support services to assist our client to live independently, safely, and comfortably within the community.

n

Your role will include:

n

n
- Supporting our client in her own home where she receives 24 hours support from a dedicated team of support workers
n
- Support with personal care - hygiene, transfers, grooming, etc
n
- Working within a highly unwavering team of workers
n
- PEG for all nutritional needs and medication administration
n




- Communicating with the client via communication board
n
- Domestic assistance to maintain the clients home
n

Suitable Applicants Must Have:

n

n
- Proven experience in collaborating with with people living with a disability that have high complex care needs.
n
- An engaging person-centred approach to in home support with exceptional listening skills and a highly professional approach to support work
n
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
n
- A positive, engaging and respectful manner
n
- A genuine desire to have influence in the lives of people with a disability
n

n

Skills & Experience required:

n

n
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
n
- NDIS Worker check and Working with Children check
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
- Clear communication, listening skills and writing skills
n
- A person-centred approach to support
n
- This role will ideally suit Support Workers based in and around the southern suburbs of Adelaide
n
