Teacher Assistant - Junior School (Term Time)

About the Role

As a Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement across the Junior School.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting teachers with the delivery of learning activities and classroom programs.

Assisting individual students and small groups with their learning.

Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Supervising students during class, break times and other school activities.

Assisting with learning resources, classroom preparation and administrative tasks.

Supporting student wellbeing and positive behaviour practices.

About You

You are a team player who genuinely enjoys working with children and building positive relationships. You bring a proactive and supportive approach and are committed to helping every student succeed.





You will have:

Experience working with children in a school or similar environment (desirable).

Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 3pm/3.30pm.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues.

Initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.

A commitment to supporting student wellbeing and learning.

Alignment with the Christian ethos and values of Redeemer Lutheran College.

Requirements

Current Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one.

Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, School Based Education Support or related field.
