About the position
In the position of Payroll officer, you will report to the Payroll manager and work in a team of three.
Your main responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- End to end payroll processing in accordance to policies and procedures.
- On board new employees and enter variations to employment records.
- Process termination requests and payments ensuring correct PAYG withholding on payments.
- Process salary packaging arrangements and salary deductions.
- Update Personal leave entitlements where there is an increase in Full Time Employment.
- Update Masterfile details
- Calculate and process pro-rata entitlements
- Validate data entry and payroll reports.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, be service minded with great communication skills and independently seek solutions to problems that might appear.
The qualifications required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- 2+ years of experience in the Payroll domain
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline e.g. Payroll, Finance, Accounting (desirable)
- Experience with using enterprise packages preferably Technology One.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
