About Our Operating Theatres

Our modern Operating Theatre complex includes:

- 32 First‐Stage Recovery bays
n
- 32 Second‐Stage Recovery chairs
n

Specialties include:
n
General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatrics, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Robotics, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.

About the Role
n
As a Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout, you will:
n
n
- Provide high‐quality scrub and scout support across a range of specialties
n
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
n
- Ensure patient and staff safety at all times
n
- Proactively evaluate and improve perioperative care outcomes
n
- Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation
n
- Contribute to a positive patient experience from admission through recovery
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a perioperative setting
n
- Scrub/Scout experience (Neurosurgery or Orthopaedics highly regarded)
n
- Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
n
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient‐centred care
n
- Strong communication, time management and organisational skills
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high‐performing team
n
- Excellent problem‐solving and computer skills
n
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
n
