Job Description

The Commercial Trades and Construction business we are partnering with are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join the finance team here in Perth.

This role reports into the Directors and plays a key part in overseeing delivering accurate month-end reporting, performing analysis and proposing improvements, and supporting the finance team in their duties.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Full-cycle AP/AR management
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- BAS/GST compliance and review
- Month-end and year-end close activities
- Depreciation schedule maintenance
- Process improvement

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate in Bookkeeping / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in payroll,



Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable, and month-end reporting
- Skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Foundational knowledge in Progress and Retention payments
- Solid in Excel and recent MYOB usage
- Ideally BAS registered
- Collaborative and can form relationships with operational staff
- Understands the industry, maintenance and construction projects
