About the job RN - Anaesthetic and Recovery

MOR Healthcare is in need of casual staff for a client who is in need of Anaesthetic and Recovery nurses for a Registered Day Procedure Center(Mobile) with the Department of Health and Human Services that provides a General Anaesthesia service to Dental Clinics across Melbourne and also the Mornington Peninsula area.

Hourly rate: $55-$65 per hour - Plus Super. (This is dependent on years of experience / Grade)

n

Location: Happy to travel across Melbourne

n

Procedures that are performed:

n

n
- Minor surgical – removal of wisdom teeth, teeth extraction, insertion of an implant
n
- Major surgical – All-on-4, sinus lift, bone grafting
n

n

Anaesthetic requirements:

n

n
- Nasal intubation – for most cases
n
- Versatile LMA – for minor cases (e.g. Extraction of teeth, removal 4 x 8)
n
- TIVA – for all cases
n

n

Majority of the time it is 1 on 1 nursing. Most cases range between 3 - 6 hours.

n





If there are 1-2 patients on the list, the nurse will be required to do the recovery and discharge as well. The 2nd patient would not get started until the 1st patient meets discharge criteria. If there are more than 2 cases, there will be a designated PACU nurse allocated as well.

CandidateSpecifications:

- AHPRA registered
n
- Working with Children cert
n
- Clinical experience in Anaesthetics and PACU in an acute setting
n
- ALS certification.
n
- Ability to cope with autonomous practice.
n
- High level of judgement and decision-making skills.
n
- Enthusiastic, reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
n
- Adaptable and flexible.
n
- Effectively manage the anaesthetic, recovery and discharge process throughout the patient's journey as per MAS processes, policies & procedures.
