We're looking for an experienced and proactive Rostering Team Leader to oversee and strengthen our rostering operations across disability and child protection services. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Rostering Team Leader who can build workforce capability, optimise service delivery and support our operational teams to deliver exceptional care outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Rostering Team Leader is accountable for the effectiveness, efficiency, compliance and performance of DCR’s rostering function. You will lead a team of Rostering Coordinators while remaining hands‑on in day‑to‑day operations, workforce deployment and service continuity activities. Working closely with Care Operations, HR and other stakeholders, you'll ensure workforce resources are effectively aligned to client needs while balancing labour utilisation,
compliance requirements and quality outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach and develop the Rostering Team to deliver a responsive and customer‑focused service.
- Provide hands‑on support with workforce deployment, roster management and vacancy coverage.
- Ensure effective roster coverage across disability and child protection services.
- Drive workforce utilisation and labour efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor roster performance, workforce capacity and operational metrics.
- Support onboarding by coordinating buddy shifts, shadow shifts and workforce allocation.
- Ensure compliance with Awards, legislation, fatigue management requirements and organisational policies.
- Act as the escalation point for complex rostering and workforce deployment matters.
- Build robust relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders.

About You
- Has proven experience leading rostering, workforce planning or scheduling teams.
- Understands workforce deployment, continuity of care and client‑to‑worker matching principles.
- Can analyse workforce data and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.
- Builds solid relationships across operational and corporate teams.
- Has excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities.
- Is confident using rostering systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to service quality, compliance and team success.

Additional experience in SCHADS Award interpretation, NDIS Practice Standards, workforce analytics and organisational growth initiatives will be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in rostering, workforce planning or scheduling within a complex service environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing rostering or workforce administration teams.
- Strong understanding of workforce compliance and industrial requirements.
- Experience working with workforce management or rostering systems.
- Qualification in Business, Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Management or a related discipline (highly regarded).
- Working with Children (Blue card), NDIS card & LCS2
