An opportunity exists for an experienced tax qualified to take ownership of tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities within a complex financial services environment.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail while partnering with stakeholders across finance and the broader business. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of tax obligations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong controls and providing practical advice on tax related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG and withholding tax obligations
- Manage tax reporting, provisions, deferred tax calculations and reconciliations
- Oversee regulatory and statutory tax reporting requirements
- Support transfer pricing, tax governance and related documentation
- Assess the tax impact of new products, transactions and business initiatives
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory bodies
- Monitor legislative changes and communicate impacts to key stakeholders
- Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance
About You
- CA or CPA qualified
- Strong tax experience gained within financial services, banking, professional services or another complex environment
- Sound knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
- Experience across both tax compliance and tax reporting
- Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical tax matters clearly to both finance and non finance stakeholders
- Hands on approach with a strong attention to detail
