THE ROLE

The Senior Asset Planning – Land Quality is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the full lifecycle asset planning activities across the public housing portfolio with a specific focus on land quality. This leadership role is responsible for supporting asset management planning to support operational areas to deliver complex capital and maintenance programs / projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence.

As the point of contact for Homes Victoria, and operational divisions and areas, the Asset Planner role utilises knowledge and analysis of relevant asset information, stakeholder consultation, and coordination of asset management and planning processes to drive investment decisions across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

- Lead and review contaminated land investigations and risk assessments across multiple sites
- Provide technical direction, QA and mentoring for junior and mid-level consultants
- Shape innovative technical strategies and set clear quality benchmarks
- Build strong client relationships and support bids and broader business growth
- Collaborate with internal specialists across hydrogeology, remediation and environmental planning

Accountabilities Include





- Contribute to the full life cycle planning to meet departmental objectives relating to land quality
- Lead and review contaminated land investigations and risk assessments across multiple sites
- Provide technical direction, QA and mentoring for junior and mid-level consultants
- Shape innovative technical strategies and set clear quality benchmarks
- Build robust client relationships and support bids and broader business growth
- Collaborate with specialists' remediation and environmental planning as required
- Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs
- Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach

Requirements

- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa
- Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process
- Preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including a national police check and misconduct screening
