DWS is seeking a highly skilled Performance Tester with demonstrated experience delivering performance testing outcomes within banking, financial services, wealth management, superannuation, or similarly regulated environments. This role will play a key part in ensuring the performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience of critical enterprise platforms, supporting rapid delivery within a high-frequency release environment while maintaining exceptional customer experiences.

Role Requirements

n

n
- Banking, financial services, wealth management, or superannuation experience is essential.
n
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance, security, and operational requirements associated with enterprise financial services platforms.
n
- Strong experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
n
- Hands-on experience with k6 (preferred), JMeter, or equivalent performance testing tools.
n
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive performance testing strategies and frameworks.
n




- Create and maintain performance test scripts using k6, JMeter, or other industry-standard performance testing tools.
n
- Conduct load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing across distributed applications and services.
n
- Analyse performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations to development and engineering teams.

- Perform performance testing across:n n
- Web applications
n
- Mobile applications
n
- APIs and microservices
n
- Databases
n
- Backend systems and integrations
n

- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to translate solution architectures into performance testing and DevOps testing components.
n
- Integrate performance testing within CI/CD pipelines to support automated quality gates and continuous performance validation.
n
- Partner with stakeholders to define performance requirements, service level objectives, and capacity planning strategies.
n
- Support on-demand testing requirements within a fast-paced, high-frequency release environment.
n
- Review and assess performance testing approaches implemented by other testing teams to ensure consistency, quality standards, and best practice alignment.
n
- Provide performance engineering expertise throughout project planning, solution design, development, and release cycles.
n
- Produce clear and comprehensive performance test reports, findings,



and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Strong understanding of contemporary DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks.
n
- Knowledge of application architecture, system integration patterns, and cloud-native environments.
n
- Experience identifying bottlenecks across application, API, infrastructure, and database layers.
n
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Strong planning, estimation, and prioritisation skills.
n
- Experience operating within Agile and DevOps environments.
n
- Experience supporting organisations with frequent production deployments and rapid release cycles.

- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, or similar platforms
