- Not For Profit (NFP)

About Kids Under Cover

Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation committed to preventing youth homelessness before it starts. We believe every young person should have the safety, stability and opportunity they need to build their future.

Our work combines cutting-edge housing responses with programs and partnerships that help young people remain connected to family, education, community and pathways towards independence.

Philanthropy is critical to our ability to innovate, grow and respond to emerging need.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Impact, the Philanthropy Manager will lead Kids Under Cover's engagement with the philanthropic sector and drive sustainable income from trusts, foundations, Private Ancillary Funds and other philanthropic partners.

The role spans the full philanthropic relationship journey - from identifying and cultivating prospective partners to developing compelling funding propositions, securing investment, stewardship, reporting and renewal.

You will work closely with the Head of Impact, CEO and teams across KUC to understand our priorities and translate them into opportunities that inspire philanthropic investment.

What you'll do

- Build and grow strategic philanthropic partnerships with trusts, foundations, PAFs and other funders.
- Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, translating KUC's priorities and ideas into compelling investment propositions.
- Lead relationships from cultivation through to stewardship,

including proposals, reporting, acquittals and ongoing engagement.
- Work across KUC to grow sustainable philanthropic income, strengthen impact storytelling and identify new opportunities for investment.

About You

You understand that successful philanthropy starts with purpose, trust and relationships - not an application form.

You will bring strong experience in philanthropy, fundraising, partnerships, business development or a related field and be comfortable developing relationships with senior and influential stakeholders.

You Will Ideally Bring

- Demonstrated success securing funding from trusts, foundations, PAFs or similar philanthropic sources.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to develop persuasive proposals and cases for support.
- Confidence initiating conversations, developing opportunities and making a compelling funding ask.
- Experience managing a philanthropic or business-development pipeline and working towards revenue targets.
- The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and teams across an organisation.
- Curiosity, initiative and a genuine desire to create measurable social impact.

Experience in homelessness, housing, youth or the broader community sector would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

What matters most is your ability to build strong relationships, understand what motivates philanthropic investment and connect shared purpose with meaningful impact.

Further details about the responsibilities of the role are contained in the attached Position Description.
