Senior Appeals Coordinator | Rosies – Friends on the Street

OnTalent is proud to be partnering with Rosies – Friends on the Street to appoint a Senior Appeals Coordinator, a newly created role with genuine ownership of Rosies’ fundraising appeals program.

For almost 40 years, Rosies has reached out to Queenslanders experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and social isolation, offering friendship, connection and a sense of belonging.

Behind that work is a community of supporters who help make it possible.

This role is an chance for an experienced fundraiser to strengthen that connection.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will take Rosies’ appeals from end to end, shaping campaigns, developing donor communications, coordinating delivery, working with data and segmentation, and understanding what worked and where there is prospect to do more.

There are established appeals and an engaged supporter base to build from, but there is also genuine scope to bring your own expertise, ideas and contemporary fundraising practice.

You will also have the opportunity to get close to the work you are fundraising for.

Spending time with Rosies’ outreach teams and building relationships with volunteers, patrons and staff will help you understand the organisation firsthand and identify the stories that can meaningfully connect supporters with Rosies’ work.

We are looking for someone who brings:

- Demonstrated fundraising experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector
- Experience delivering fundraising appeals across direct mail and/or digital channels
- Robust fundraising copywriting and storytelling capability
- An understanding of donor acquisition, retention and supporter journeys

- Confidence using donor data, segmentation and campaign insights
- Strong campaign management, organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to build genuine relationships across a diverse community
- The confidence to take ownership, bring ideas and follow them through

Why Rosies?

Because this is fundraising you can see.

You will have the opportunity to understand firsthand the work your campaigns help make possible, meeting the volunteers who show up, hearing the stories behind the mission and seeing the connection Rosies creates within communities.

You will also have room to make the role your own.

Rosies has established appeals and a loyal supporter community, but there is genuine opportunity to strengthen the program. You will be trusted to bring your experience, challenge existing thinking where appropriate, introduce new ideas and build on strong foundations.

And you will do it as part of a small, close-knit team where your work won't disappear into a large fundraising function. Your contribution will be visible, your expertise will matter and the results you achieve will directly support Rosies’ ability to continue its work across Queensland.

For an experienced fundraiser ready for more ownership, this is a rare opportunity to combine professional challenge with genuine connection to purpose.

Rosies is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. Applications are encouraged from people of all backgrounds, experiences and identities who share Rosies’ commitment to dignity, respect and community.

For a confidential discussion, contact Ashleigh McMillan at OnTalent on (07) 3305 5800.
