About The Positions

n

As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will provide speech, language and communication assessments and therapy to infants, children and adults.

n

You will work within a flexible, interdisciplinary team to ensure clients and their families receive coordinated and individualised support.

There may be occasional travel to regional or remote communities several times each year. Previous outreach experience is helpful but is not essential.

n

All approved outreach travel expenses will be paid by the organisation.

In This Role, You Will

n

n
- Conduct evidence-based speech, language and communication assessments.
n
- Develop individualised intervention plans in consultation with clients, families and relevant stakeholders.
n
- Deliver therapy to infants, children and adults across clinic, home, school, community and telehealth settings.
n
- Support Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients using culturally responsive and person-centred approaches.
n
- Prepare clinical reports, progress notes, funding documentation and other professional records.
n
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapy plans when required.
n
- Work collaboratively with families, educators, support coordinators,



health professionals and other stakeholders.
n
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and service planning.
n
- Manage your caseload, schedule and clinical responsibilities effectively.
n
- Exercise sound clinical judgement when working independently.
n
- Participate in professional supervision, team meetings and professional development.
n
- Contribute to occasional outreach services in regional or remote areas.
n
- Work toward agreed clinical and service-delivery KPIs.
n

About You

n

You will be a self-motivated and values-driven clinician who is committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and families.

n

You Will Bring

n

n
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
n
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
n
- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, or the ability to obtain it, where applicable.
n
- Ideally, at least two years of relevant clinical experience.
n
- Strong assessment, intervention and clinical-reasoning skills.
n
- Sound professional and clinical judgement.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing to an interdisciplinary team.
n
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Effective stakeholder-engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities, documentation and caseload responsibilities.
n
- A commitment to culturally safe, person-centred and evidence-based practice.
n
- A genuine interest in working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients.
n
- A willingness to learn about Deaf culture and develop Auslan skills.
n
- A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake occasional outreach travel.
n
- Australian working rights or an appropriate visa permitting employment in Australia.
n

Experience working in paediatrics, adult disability, hearing services, schools, early intervention, NDIS-funded services or regional communities will be highly regarded.

n

Previous experience working with Deaf or hard-of-hearing clients and existing Auslan skills are welcome but are not essential. Training and support will be provided.
