The Australian Institute for Human Wellness is a psychology clinic in Sydney's St George area, with a team of ten psychologists dedicated to improving the mental health of our community.

The Role

We're looking for a confident, hard working and down-to-earth receptionist to join our clinic three days a week, working closely with our Practice Manager and clinical team to keep the practice running smoothly.

The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for clients, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, and managing appointment bookings. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining a welcoming and calm reception area, processing client registrations, taking payments, and handling confidential client information in line with privacy standards. The role also involves general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, preparing documents, supporting clinicians with scheduling, and coordinating room bookings. The Receptionist will contribute to a supportive,



skilled atmosphere that respects the sensitive nature of mental health services and upholds the institute’s values of inclusivity and client-centered care.

Skills you will bring

- Reception experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong organisational, time management and multitasking skills
- Comfortable with scheduling, billing and Medicare/insurance processing
- Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A warm, professional manner — you're often the first point of contact for our clients
- Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work autonomously

What You'll Do

- Greet clients, manage phone enquiries and schedule appointments
- Process payments and Medicare/insurance claims
- Maintain patient records and referral databases
- Support day-to-day admin, mail-outs and general clinic upkeep
- Assist with marketing and social media as needed
