The Role

The ABC is looking for a proactive Production Coordinator to support the effective operation of Australian Story, a weekly current affairs documentary program. You will be adept at providing high-quality administrative, logistical and production support to tight deadlines, ensuring the program continues to deliver compelling stories and achieve its strategic objectives.

The Job

- Provide admin and financial support for operations and department goals.
- Contribute accurate data to monthly and annual budgeting.
- Improve admin processes for efficiency.
- Managethe onboarding of contractors, casuals, and new staff.
- Coordinate admin tasks: risk assessments, fleet, and prepare paperwork for staff moves, EOIs, backfills.
- Handle financial admin: POs, invoices, line items, pay summaries.
- Support travel proposals, bookings, and costings.
- Coordinate crew whiteboarding/crewing with the Production Lead.

About You

You’ll have:





- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience
- Strong administrative and organisational/logistical skills with accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Solid understanding of financial administrative processes and systems, including SAP Finance
- Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders at all organisational levels
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and guidelines accurately
- Skilled in identifying, defining, and solving operational process and efficiency problems
