Role Description The Qualified Plumbing and Roof Plumbing Supervisor is a full time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This position oversees day-to-day plumbing and roof plumbing operations, including planning and supervising installation, maintenance, and repair works across commercial, educational, and government facilities. The supervisor coordinates and leads field teams, ensures all work complies with relevant codes, safety standards, and client specifications, and completes job documentation using C&M;’s systems and reporting tools. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, diagnosing issues, prioritizing work orders, managing materials and subcontractors,
and liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to provide clear updates on project status. The role also involves mentoring team members, promoting safe work practices, and supporting rapid-response and scheduled maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in general plumbing and roof plumbing supervision, including installation, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis across commercial and institutional sites.
- Strong capability in planning and coordinating field operations, managing work schedules, assigning tasks, and overseeing contractors or technical staff on multiple sites.
- Sound knowledge of Australian plumbing codes, standards, and safety regulations, with a commitment to compliant, quality-focused, and risk-aware work practices.
- Proficiency in using digital tools or maintenance management systems for reporting, job tracking, and documentation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, and provide clear updates and instructions.
- Relevant trade qualification in plumbing and/or roof plumbing, current plumbing licence, and appropriate working-at-heights and safety certifications.
- Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or restoration environments is highly regarded, particularly within commercial, education, or government sectors.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work on-site across varied environments, with a focus on teamwork, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
