To strengthen our team, and in pursuit of new business opportunities, we are seeking an experienced Junior Civil Estimator for our Renewable Energy Business Unit in Sydney.

About the Role

n

n
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects using estimating software and industry-standard tools
n
- Analysing project drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope and requirements
n




- Researching and sourcing material and labour costs from suppliers and subcontractors
n
- Assisting in the compilation of tender submissions and bid documentation
n
- Communicating with project managers, architects and clients to clarify project details and specifications
n
- Maintaining accurate records and databases of historical cost data and estimating information
n
- Supporting the senior estimating team with project analysis and feasibility assessments
n
- Learning and applying company estimating procedures and methodologies
n

About You

n

n
- A qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
n
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with complex data
n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
n
- A genuine interest in the construction industry and a commitment to developing estimating expertise
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
n
- Familiarity with estimating software or building information modelling (BIM) is desirable
n
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a rapid-paced environment
n
